HANG OUT, BELLAHØJ 2021, COPENHAGUE
Une création de cirque in situ, conçue pour le quartier de Bellahøj à Copenhague par six chorégraphes et artistes de cirque venus de toute l’Europe, produite par Metropolis / KIT (Københavns Internationale Teater). Le projet Hang Out visait à faire dialoguer l’expression physique avec l’architecture du quartier, en mettant l’accent sur l’équilibre, la verticalité, les hauteurs et les horizons.
Le point de départ était une installation sonore réalisée à partir d’entretiens avec les habitants du quartier. Le spectacle prenait la forme d’une parcours, ponctuée de quatre interventions simultanées, destinées à un public restreint d’une dizaine de personnes, conformément aux mesures sanitaires en vigueur. La création s’est déroulée sur six semaines, entre mai et août 2021; le spectacle a été présenté à huit reprises, du 26 au 29 août 2021.

A site-specific experimental circus creation, developed for the Bellahøj neighbourhood of Copenhagen, by six circus choreographers/artists from all over Europe and produced by Metropolis, KIT (Kobenhavn International Theatre). Hang Out combined physical expression with the architecture of Bellahøj and focused on balance, verticality, heights and horizons.
The creation of this show took the form of a walk through, with 4 interventions that were carried out simultaneously for a limited audience of around 10 people, in order to respect the regulations linked to the constant changes in the health situation, regarding Covid. The meeting place for the public was a sound installation created from interviews with local inhabitants. The creation lasted 6 weeks between May and August 2021, and was performed eight times between the 26th and the 29th of August 2021.
